What to Pack for a Stay & Play Golf Weekend
Staying at a rental home or resort near the course changes what you need to bring. Here's a list that covers the round, the evening and the weather.
On the course
Clubs, plus a travel cover if you're carpooling; More balls than you think you'll need; Tees, ball markers, a divot tool and a glove or two; Rangefinder or GPS app; Sunscreen, a hat and a refillable water bottle
For Ontario weather
Mornings can start cool even in summer, and weather near the lakes changes quickly. Layers beat one heavy jacket.
A light rain jacket; A quarter-zip or vest for early tee times; Spare socks and a second pair of shoes
At the house
Check what your stay provides before you go. Many homes include linens and basic kitchen supplies, but it's worth confirming.
Groceries for breakfast before an early tee time; A speaker and a deck of cards; Phone chargers and a power bar
